This section provides an overview of why we should be paying attention to our breath at all as well as some of the traditions of breath control that have progressed our understanding of this powerful tool.

10:00 Basic Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) Overview + Practical Work
This portion of the day includes a basic overview of the Autonomic Nervous System in the context of how you respond to stress in the environment. Both metrics and tools for understanding how well you are dealing with stress and tools to steer yourself in the right direction.

11:00 Practical Breathing Mechanics + Protocols + Practical Work
In mechanics we look at how the human body deals with the mechanical need for air and how to optimize position to breathing effectively.  You will learn simple and effective tools for removing roadblocks to optimal breathing mechanics that will directly impact health and performance.

12:00 Lunch (Packed lunch encouraged)

12:45 Practical Physiology + Practical Work
Breath control plays a major role in the optimization of effective energy control.  In the portion of the seminar you will learn the fundamental ideas of human energy and how simple adjustments in breathing can begin to creative more effective outcomes in both long term health and high end performance.

2:00 Testing + Application
In this section you will have an opportunity to connect the various components of the day in a seamless and practical training application.  You will be using controlled exercise scenarios to create stressful scenarios that allow for the practical application of breath control techniques in a controlled environment.  Our coaches can adapt the parameters of these experiments for any level of fitness and experience.  This part of the day is commonly reported to us as “where things all come together”.
